Master's and Doctoral Programs in Humanities are designed to develop outstanding expertise in philosophy, ethics, religion, history, anthropology, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, English language education, and other areas of the humanities in order to respond to changes in the environment surrounding the humanities and in society as a whole due to globalization. The Humanities Degree Program is designed to develop students who can contribute to the discovery and solution of new global problems in collaboration with people of different specialties.
Master's and Doctoral Programs in Humanities integrate the existing integrated doctoral programs of Philosophy and Thought, History and Anthropology, Literature and Language, and Modern Languages and Cultures, and has six subprograms: Philosophy and Thought, History and Anthropology, Literature, Linguistics, Modern Cultural Studies, and English Education. This program is an attempt to construct a cross-disciplinary and integrated humanities program.
